We want to create a website that is similar to Linkedin in functioning, providing matching algorithms for profiles, common interests, common connections, and geographic location. The website will also need to have a messaging feature, search feature, and news feeds.
Our beta website explains our idea in further detail and shows the colour scheme that we envision. We also discuss what features and functions we need the website to have: [login to view URL]
Ultimately we are looking for a clean, easy to use, custom built website, that provides an excellent, glitch-free user experience. We will require an administrator interface that allows website administrators to make changes to the website and view website performance and statistics. Statistics will include user sign-ups from the past day, month, year (this information should also be graphed), user visits for that day, number of users in each city, what type of profiles are in each city, how many artists we have signed up for each genre, and within that, subgenre, and how many app downloads we have each from the Apple App Store as well as from Google Play. This administrator interface should be easy to use.
We require a mobile app to also be built and launched, working for both IOS and Android, and being eligible to be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play. This app will also have to conform to the look and feel of the website, in colour scheme and user experience. The app of course, must have all of the same features as the website does. Users should be able to complete all of the same tasks on the app as they would on the website. The app should also have an administrator backend, linked to the website administrative interface, or separate from. The app’s interface should also be easy to use and have the same live statistics as the website does.
We require full ownership of the website, app, and any code associated with them. All code related to the website and the app must be stored in a shared folder on the server for our website, in the account of the web services provider we choose to use.
We will require occasional technical support, small changes, and routine maintenance to be done to the website after the delivery. We would appreciate if these could be completed at no extra charge unless they are substantial changes that would require many hours of work.
Throughout the building process we would like to be as available as possible, to answer any questions as they come up. We would also appreciate frequent updates, and opportunities to provide feedback as progress is made, to ensure that we are both on the same page, and work does not have to be redone. We would also want to provide feedback when a major development milestone is hit, for example the completion of the administrator accounts/ backend. During our project, we will require a “soft launch” period. This is where we can instruct a limited amount of users to sign up and begin using the website in order to test for bugs, glitches, to suggest any other features, placement or design changes that would improve the user experience. After this period has finished, we will complete a report of the changes needing to be made, and present them to be changed. These changes will need to be complete in order to reach the final delivery stage.
Milestones for the project should look something like this:
Backend of app + website completed
User interface and administrator interface completed on app + website
Initial feedback on interface given and implemented
Soft Launch phase
Feedback presented from soft launch phase and implemented
Final Delivery, full payment released
Any technical support, small changes, and routine maintenance to be done to the website after the delivery
