My client has a website at [url removed, login to view] Some areas of the website have an admin area which allows my client to update various aspects of the website. What she is looking for now is the ability to do more.

The ability to archive news reports in date order either assending or decending whichever the user of ther website prefers.

If you look at this page the years are "tabbed" links which are in the order of '2006', '2007', '2005' which is obviously incorrect. The arhives which are in PDF format are only avavilable to members. All users should be able to see that they are there, but not be able to actualy download them unless they have previously logged in. The client will require an upload facility to add PDF files etc.
The current publications are available from [url removed, login to view] some at a cost to non-members (I will get more info from the client about how this works) and some are free to members and non-members. Once a publication has been archived, it should be added to the archive list. This should be as simple as clicking on option from within the admin area and selecing which archive category it belongs to.
News items should be available from the home page, where the client is able to add a title and a brief headline text which then links to the main news item, again these should be archiveable.
There will be some images to the website and it would be nice if these could randomly rotate on a users visit to the website so that things are seen to be changing on a regular basis.
Some images also serve as adverts to other areas of the website and these will need to be updateable within the admin section, so an upload tool will also be required here. The ability to add text below images and link to other pages will be required.
A search function will also be required to search through news items and any other text on the website.
Any other pages where the text is seen within the website will also need to be updatable vis an admin section.
It would be easier if the client was given the option of editing an existing page from a dropdown list and then being presented with a WYSIWYG editor to make chenges to the text. I am not sure at this stage if images will need to be added to the pages.
There is also an existing login area for members of the website but I am not sure what members have access to apart from the publications and archives but the information has been requested.
Payment for the whole process can only be invoiced once the client is happy with the work.
