Convert image upload script to support AWS S3 Bucket

I currently have an image upload script that I need converting to support uploads to AWS S3 bucket.
All current functions of the script must remain as they are (eg. insert to mysql database)
I also need the script to crop the uploaded image to 400px x 400px and upload the original to one folder and the cropped into another folder.
The uploaded files must be available to view by the public as they will be used on a website
