I need someone to create a simple PHP function that will retrieve eBay item details over HTTPS using the eBay API

I already made one myself using HTTP, but it won't work over HTTPS and I can't seem to find the right API function. I know it's easy enough as many websites utilise it.

I just want a function that takes the eBay item number as a parameter and returns the item information as JSON.
