I'm trying to keep track of my expenses via my on-line bank statement report. I manually extract the data (copy / paste) from the on-line report and then I import it into a Excel spreadsheet. I do this almost everyday.
The problem is that I do waste a lot of time repeating the process described above. I know this process can be done with the correct code. I've been trying to use the '[url removed, login to view]' to achieve this purpose, but I've been unsuccessful.
The objective is fetch my bank account statement.
1. Submit account credentials (I'll provide them).
Note:This credentials allow the user to display reports, they will not allow the user to do any kind of transaction.
2. Navigate to the frame which holds my online statement report. This frame is one click away once logged in).
3. Present this statement on the screen.
If you are into web fetching, you probably realized that the main work is to simulate a browser via PHP. This would probably require you to handle a https connection and the headers sent by my bank's server (cookies, redirects, etc...).
The bank's web page is in Spanish (I live in Chile). But I will translate any text you need in order to expedite your work.
It is a plus for this project if you have used the Snoopy class. This PHP class is Open Source and it simulates a web browser.
Correction. Having worked with the Snoopy class is no longer a plus, for I just realized there are new functions and tools around that are better than the Snoopy class.
