Install PHP & IMAP Extensions

Hello

I have moved my website to Dream Host and need to install PHP4 and compile IMAP extensions to continue running my Squirrel Mail client. I do not know anything about installing PHP and require someone to set it all up for me. DreamHost have provided the following link to install PHP4 but no instructions on how to compile IMPA extensions. The mail client is set up to use courier IMAP.
