Javascript need fix

A javascript that used to work with an earlier version of the genealogy software (TNG - The next Generation of Genealogy) is no longer working. I do not have the skills to fix the problem so have lived without it for a long time. But now it's time to get it working again.
A request on the TNG users group has gone unanswered, so I am reaching out to the freelance group. An explanation of the problem can be found at [url removed, login to view]
