I just bought a package from a hosting company. I would like to use postgis on it, and it has been installed on public schema, but since hosting companies won't give you all privileges on public schema, I'm having a difficult time importing databases

I normally work with postgis on my localhost.
Now that I'm trying to migrate to an actual server, I don't know how to import/access postgis databases. The server is running on Apache(linux), php, postgresql.
I have had my hosting company enable postgis in my database. Right now, I can see all postgis functions under "Functions" when you look inside "public" schema. I don't have all the privileges on public schema since this is a shared server; it looks like I have to create a new schema to work with.
I will provide 2 backup files (.sql) that I want imported into my databases.
And, I'd like to be taught how to access (using php) these databases once they are online. I'm pretty certain the way you access the databases will be somewhat different from localhost (on my localhost, I have access to public schema).
I'll provide access to my server too. It has Cpanel, phpPgAdmin. You can use my account to communicate with my hosting company if you want.
I would like you to give me step-by-step procedures that need to be taken in order to import into databases since I later need to do this myself on another server.
For example,
1. if you need my hosting company to install/modify something on the account, I'll need you to document it so that I can later do this myself too.
2. if you need to change privileges on any schema/database, I'd also like you to document this.
3. I'd like to know the commands/query statements issued.
4. anything action that must be taken. I believe you get the idea.
Thank you very much.
Hi,
I will guide you to accomplish this simple action. You must change user access setting in order to be able to upload you database, and I will show you how.
Thanks!!
