Magento – Canadian tax fix extension Introduction By law in Canada, we need to show federal and provincial taxes in online store shopping carts, on the invoice, on credit memos, on packing slip, well…everywhere taxes appears on a document produced by Magento. Right now, the application is allowing us to configure the system to calculate taxes correctly, but it compound its taxes in an expendable tax total. Project From a very simple point of view (non technical), we need to remove the expandable tax total and show both taxes all the time without the need to click on the little plus sign to expand tax total to see them. We would need someone to develop a Magento extension that would allow us to show both taxes and that will allow us to upgrade our Magento platform without problems in the near future. The extension will need to be installable thought Magento Connect Manager. It means that we need the extension to be developed according to Magento’s development specifications and rules. Details I have included files that show screen shots of our web site with sections that needs both taxes to be showed instead of the tax (TVA) expand button: • Files 1 & 2 show the shopping cart with tax (TVA) not expended and expended. • Files 3 & 4 show the Shopping cart - order verification with Tax (TVA) total not expanded and expanded. • Files 5 & 6 show customers order history with Tax (TVA) total not expanded and expanded. • File 7 show an e-mail order confirmation template with Tax (TVA) total not expanded File 7 is an example, but other similar e-mails templates needs to be modified.
