Our client needs a system that can detect fake media, including images, videos and audio recordings. The system should use any methods that are suitable and effective to analyze media and produce a detailed report explaining how and if it was fake. The report should also include visual aids such as images, graphs and explanations in layman’s terms and scientific terms to ensure that it is accessible to non-experts and scientifically rigorous. In addition, the system should be able to perform web scraping to detect instances of the inputted media online and produce a report listing where the media has been posted.
The system should be designed as a one-user tool for internal use, with a user-friendly interface for uploading media and viewing reports. The system should be secure and include robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure that the system is not accessed by unauthorized users.
In addition, the system should be able to provide advanced capabilities to detect sophisticated forms of media manipulation. Some possible techniques that can be used are metadata analysis, OCR for text extraction and audio fingerprinting to identify unique audio signals. These features can help detect more advanced forms of manipulation and provide more detailed reports.
As for the user interface, it should have a login and here i can create different "cases". In a case i can upload a media type for analysis. After the analysis is done it uses a word template (our letter template) to create the cover letter (includiing name, casenumber, date etc) with as attachement the complete file that details if the media is real or faked (deepfake) and why/how. In extreme detail. For an image this can be multiple layes that are show with scientific explanation. etc. When a case is done and closed in the "application" it is presented as a downloadable zip link to the admin. This zip is stored max 7 days on server before being deleted.
That is basically it. It should be able to detect fake photo's, photoshops, video alterations, audio manipulations, audio deepfakes, video deepfakes etc.
