The motivating factor for this project is that I want to add SSL Certification to my ordering pages. But before I do that, I need to have some editing done to my OSCommerce order site. The employee that set up the OSCommerce and did the other technical things that are beyond my skill set has moved, so there is the probability that your help on future OSCommerce edits and projects will be needed.
Background: I have a smoothly functioning OSCommerce ordering system for one of my product lines. I use [url removed, login to view] for my product descriptions, then link the customer to the order page such as [url removed, login to view]
Separately, I have another product line on [url removed, login to view] which has a toy model that I sell retail using a simple contact form shown on [url removed, login to view]
Therefore, before I add SSL Authentication, I want to do the following:
1) Add the Vortx toy to the OS Commerce catalog as an additional product
2) Move the OS Commerce Catalog from [url removed, login to view] to [url removed, login to view], my primary "generic" website, and change the name of it to something like, "Divnick Products - Ordering System".
3) Change the order links on the golf club pages and the Vortx page so they go to the new location.
4) Add/install SSL Certification
I have the skill to do 2 and 3, but need help with 1 and 4.
Specifically re: the OSCommerce edits, I need help in changing some of the little elements of the OS catalog such as the “DivnickGolf™” name in the lower right corner of the order pages next to the copyright notice, and the page title, and to change the “from” name on the emails. I can't find where/how to do those things. There may be some other settings that need to be changed when I move it to another website...so I need to hire someone who is familiar enough with OSCommerce to know what is needed.
Regarding adding the toy Vortx to the OSCommerce system, as you can see on the current toy order form, it is available for $24.95, or $19.95 each if ordering 2 or more. The shipping is also fixed to a flat rate, depending on the shipping location and quantity. I would like to retain those elements if possible when I add the Vortx to the OSCommerce.
By the way, I don't process my customer's credit cards as part of the online order submission. I do that manually afterward, which includes the opportunity for me to upsell them. These are not high volume items, so the manual process is worth the extra effort.
