Project Pack Install & some custom work - second try

INSTALL
We've purchased a script called Project Pack ([url removed, login to view]) and require some help with installing the script onto our server. Project Pack features an installation script but we've had problems in getting the script to build a MySQL database so we'd like some help a developer with MySQL experience.
CUSTOM WORK
The Project Pack features several user groups, 'Client' 'member' 'leader' 'admin', we'd like to hide the select "client" within the interface filter box for 'Client' as we do not wish our clients to have access to our client list.
We'd also like to hide the bulk update button from 'Client' 'member' level users as they do not have access to bulk update project.

I have had experience with installing and modifying all sorts of php scripts and getting them to work.
This should be quite easy. I have experience with MySQL, so I can help you with the installation and removing the button should be just changing few lines of code...
