Update opensource WHMCS Hook to add users to OpenLDAP

When a user registers in WHMCS I would like them to be added to my LDAP server (openLDAP). There is already a hook created for this purpose however it is 5 years old so i would like it updated & working with the latest version of WHMCS. Security is important. I would like passwords stored using SHA256 rather than SHA1, I would like to be able to store my LDAP bind password in encrypted form in the script, rather than plain text.
