Looking for a hard working, adaptable Wordpress developer with a strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL to work on an Online Accountability Platform.
The candidate will work on a self-hosted Wordpress website which has custom-built functionality created using PHP. Data is stored and pulled for this functionality through MySQL.
The accountability platform is being used by approx 250 members at a time, who log into the website multiple times per day. We are looking for a reliable and fast working developer who can maintain and update the site without introducing issues or taking the site down for long periods of time.
Our ideal candidate has an interest in working with start-ups and providing their own ideas for improvements and enhancements. As this is a fitness website, an interest in fitness is a bonus and will help you to understand the product better.
Wordpress development (self hosted)
PHP (intermediate or advanced)
MySQL (intermediate or advanced)
Work with the product owner to design and develop improvements and enhancements to the system. Implement these with a quick turnaround, without affecting users access to the site.
Work with first line support to fix any issues or bugs discovered on the website.
Participate in weekly / regular video calls with the product owner to discuss improvements and the status of the work.
Expected workload is a minimum of 10 hours per week, which can be up to 30 hours per week during a launch. Hours are not set, instead projects will be assigned by the product owner and can be completed in the developers preferred schedule once the deadlines are met.
