You’re asking for a cost figure I’d be willing to stand behind, rather than a generic AWS calculator estimate. I’d review the current EC2/RDS architecture, storage, backups, logging, networking and data-transfer paths, then model the baseline cost and how it changes as the SaaS grows. I’d specifically look for hidden costs such as NAT Gateway/data transfer, RDS storage and IOPS, CloudWatch retention, backup growth and HA/Multi-AZ requirements. For the final recommendation, I’d separate fixed infrastructure costs from usage-driven costs and provide practical scaling/right-sizing guidance. The one question I'd need answered before putting my name to a monthly figure: what does your peak concurrency and traffic pattern actually look like — steady-state requests per second, peak-to-average ratio, and for the AI side, inference volume and whether you're calling a hosted model API or running GPU instances yourself? That single answer drives EC2 sizing, RDS instance class and whether autoscaling or Savings Plans make sense, and it's where most estimates quietly go wrong. My approach is to validate against real data, not assumptions: pull Cost Explorer and CloudWatch for the last 60–90 days, check actual CPU/memory/IOPS utilisation to spot over-provisioned EC2 and RDS, then break the bill down by service and flag the usual hidden charges — NAT Gateway data processing, inter-AZ traffic, EBS snapshots, CloudWatch logs ingestion, S3 request costs. You'd get a concise right-sizing and costing sheet with a defensible monthly estimate, scaling guidance as users grow, and an optional HA tier with its cost delta. I've done exactly this kind of AWS cost-optimisation work on production SaaS and can start right away.

Hi, I reviewed your request to validate AWS infrastructure sizing and estimate monthly operating costs for a production SaaS/AI platform, including EC2, RDS/PostgreSQL, storage, backup, logging, and networking. I’ll focus on DevOps and Network Administration decisions that drive predictable billing: right-sizing compute and databases, mapping throughput to RDS/PostgreSQL settings, and reviewing security, scaling, and Cloud/Hybrid deployment assumptions to avoid hidden charges. You’ll get a clean sizing and costing recommendation with cost-control guidance, plus optional HA cost impact and how the estimate changes with user growth. Let’s discuss here now.

For this production SaaS/AI platform, I can validate the existing AWS sizing and monthly operating-cost assumptions without turning the engagement into an unnecessary redesign. I have 10+ years of experience across AWS, DevOps, PostgreSQL, Docker/Kubernetes, production web platforms, and database administration. I’ll review the current cloud and hybrid architecture, then map expected workloads to EC2 sizing, RDS/PostgreSQL instance class and storage, Multi-AZ/HA options, EBS, S3, backups, CloudWatch logging, load balancing, NAT gateways, networking, data transfer, security services, and other commonly missed AWS charges. I’ll compare on-demand estimates with practical Savings Plans or reserved capacity considerations, identify right-sizing opportunities, and provide scaling guidance as user volume increases. The deliverable will be a concise validation report showing the recommended baseline, estimated monthly AWS figure, assumptions, cost drivers, hidden-charge risks, monitoring/tagging recommendations, and the incremental cost of optional HA. Before I put my name to a monthly AWS figure, what peak monthly users or request volume should this platform support in production? Muhammad Saad

Hi, I've done hands-on AWS work on production platforms, including an AWS migration and RDS/PostgreSQL backed SaaS, so validating sizing and monthly cost is familiar territory. The one question I'd need answered before I put my name to a monthly figure: what is the real usage profile, meaning concurrent users, request volume, and data growth per month? Without that, any EC2 and RDS right-sizing is a guess, and the hidden charges usually hide in data transfer and storage, not compute. We ran an AI SaaS on AWS with RDS and direct integrations end to end. Descripio: describes an AWS-hosted AI listing platform Since this is fixed and review based, I'd start with a milestone on the sizing report so you only release on delivery. Do you have current CloudWatch or Cost Explorer data I can review? Adil

Hi there, I can certainly help validate your AWS infrastructure sizing and costs. To answer your key question directly: before putting my name to a monthly figure, I would need to understand the operational profile of your AI workload. Specifically, whether it involves real-time, low-latency inference or asynchronous batch processing, and what the expected peak concurrent request volume is. This single factor has the largest impact on EC2/GPU selection and overall cost. My understanding is you need an expert analysis of your proposed architecture, mapping the SaaS platform's operational workflows-user requests, AI processing jobs, data storage/retrieval cycles-to specific AWS services and ensuring the selected instances are appropriate without being over-provisioned. Technical approach: I will analyze your current architecture, model costs using the AWS Pricing Calculator with right-sized instances (e.g., Graviton for compute, Burstable for dev/staging RDS), and factor in often-overlooked costs like data egress, NAT Gateway processing, and detailed CloudWatch logging. Core deliverables: 1. Sizing Validation: EC2, RDS, and storage tier recommendations. 2. Cost Projection Model: A detailed breakdown of estimated monthly costs. 3. Optimization & Scaling Roadmap: Actionable advice for Reserved Instances/Savings Plans and HA configurations. This process is straightforward: an initial call to review your plans, my independent analysis, and delivery of the final concise report. Regards, Rohit

Hi, The main unknown here is how variable the workload is. A production SaaS platform with AI components can swing between idle nights and sudden traffic spikes, so knowing the peak-to-average ratio is critical before committing to a monthly figure. Without that, any sizing estimate could either over-provision or collapse under load. I’ve reviewed similar setups where PostgreSQL RDS costs were unexpectedly high due to oversized instances and unoptimized storage classes. The usual fix is tiering data—hot storage for active workloads, cold for archives—and validating backup retention policies against actual recovery needs. For networking, NAT gateways and cross-AZ traffic often hide charges that dwarf EC2 costs if left unchecked. I can start working right away. Let's connect and discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

I can help you turn this review into a defensible monthly AWS number—not a generic estimate. Before I’d put my name to a figure, I’d need one thing answered: what are the platform’s real production workload patterns—concurrent users, requests per second, data size, and peak-to-baseline ratio? That single answer drives EC2/RDS sizing, storage, and scaling costs more than any other variable. With that, I’ll right-size compute, identify hidden charges like cross-zone data transfer and PITR backups, and give you a monthly cost range you can actually budget against. You get a validation that catches overprovisioning and underprovisioning before you commit.
