Getting VS Code to catch breakpoints properly with Node and Postgres on a Windows machine takes a very specific launch config. I see your database is already running so we just need to bridge the gap and make the setup completely repeatable. Ill grab nvm windows to keep your Node versions perfectly organized. Then ill structure your folders build the package file and securely wire up the database connection using env variables kept safely out of version control. After that ill dial in the VS Code settings so hitting F5 works on the first try and your terminal scripts behave exactly the same way.
