1. Project Overview The objective is to develop a robust process simulation model using Siemens gPROMS to simulate the cooling of reactor exit gas from a methane conversion process. The simulation must model the cooling of the gas stream from an inlet temperature of 1200°C to a target outlet temperature of 500°C under Normal operating conditions. 2. Gas Stream Contents (Normal Condition) The model shall be based on the "Gas Outlet" stream resulting from a 18.000 kg/hr Methane feed. Scope of Work The supplier is required to: • Develop a steady-state or dynamic (as applicable) heat exchanger model within the Siemens gPROMS environment. • Configure the model to accurately reflect the thermodynamic behaviour of the gas mixture at high temperatures (up to 1200°C). • Perform the simulation to achieve the specified cooling profile. 4. Deliverables The successful supplier must provide the following: • GProms Process Flowsheet: A clear diagram showing the cooling stage and relevant process boundaries. • Technical Report: A comprehensive document containing: o Heat exchanger performance data (e.g., heat duty, etc.). o A summary of physical properties for every stream (inlet and outlet). • Native File: The original, functional Siemens gPROMS file used for the simulation. 5. Timeline and Proposal Requirements • Completion Date: This work must be completed and all deliverables submitted within two weeks of the project award. • Proposal Content: The supplier must stipulate the following in their response: o The total number of man-hours estimated to complete the work. o The overall fixed cost for the project. I will regard the task as complete once the model runs without errors, reproduces the sample output, and the documentation has been provided
