Paid on delivery
I’m in the middle of shaping our next line of intentionally crafted handbags and need an extra set of skilled, curious hands to keep the development process running smoothly. Your day-to-day will revolve around three core areas: • Deep-dive material research – identifying leathers, fabrics, hardware, and trims that balance aesthetics, durability, and cost. • Vendor and supplier coordination – requesting swatches, tracking samples, and maintaining clear communication threads so nothing slips through the cracks. • Design team support – translating a sketch or tech pack into actionable sourcing steps, flagging feasibility issues early, and updating the team on lead times and MOQs. To succeed here, you’ll be comfortable juggling multiple SKU calendars, proactively following up with overseas and domestic partners, and documenting everything in a neatly organised tracker. An eye for detail is essential; a genuine fascination with how materials behave is even better. Deliverables I’ll expect: 1. A concise materials report for each style (specs, pricing, lead time, supplier contact). 2. Weekly status summary highlighting potential risks or bottlenecks. 3. A final hand-off folder containing confirmed swatch cards, test results, and supplier agreements. If you’ve previously sourced components for accessories, apparel, or footwear—or if you’ve built relationships with tanneries, mills, or hardware vendors—let me know. Links to past work, a brief overview of relevant experience, and any initial thoughts on how you’d tackle our material library will help me gauge fit quickly. I value clear, timely communication and an organised workflow, and I’m keen to collaborate with someone who feels the same excitement for thoughtful, well-made bags.
