We are looking for a PR marketer to help our company appear in as much top tier media as possible for the relaunch of our Closca Bottle in the US. The relaunch will take place mid-September.
Closca is a brand that was born in 2013 to inspire change. Since then, we've launched several challenges; each focused on a specific environmental problem we want to encourage people to help be part of the change. Last year, we launched the Closca Water Project, where we're tackling the plastic epidemic, specifically with plastic water bottles. Our solution comes in two forms: The Closca Bottle & Closca Water App.
The Closca Bottle is a RedDot design award winner, the first and only bottle that you wear and don't carry around (thanks to the silicone strap) - the idea is to wear your sustainable attitude and show it off the world (as opposed to hiding your reusable bottle in your bag).
The Closca Water App is a map that geolocates the closest water fill station to the user and provides walking directions. When within 5 meters, the user is prompted to "refill" and is given a point; these points can be taken to the in-app shop to exchange for giveaways on behalf of global brands (i.e., Discounts on favorite brands, donations to NGO's, etc..)
The big concept is that we are marrying design and tech to provide a new solution for the world. On the front end, we are offering an incentive for people around the world to wear a new, sustainable attitude and get rewarded for not using plastic. On the back end, we are generating big data on plastics impact (something that no one to date is able to do at the moment) and be able to tangibly say how many plastic bottles we save from entering the ocean.
The Closca Bottle is now being relaunched with a new additional concept behind called: "Consciousness."
Con "together" + scio "knowledge" + ness "action"
It's a nice word that means etymologically:
The action of sharing knowledge.
From CLOSCA, it hurts us to see how what nature has taken billions of years to build and thrive, is dying on us faster and faster.
According to this, we are going to structure each one of the actions that we are going to carry out so that this launch is a complete success differentiating them by actions that count "CON", actions that share "SIO" and actions that demonstrate "NESS" and with the objective of showing that our commitment is real.
It hurts us to see how governments and many large companies remain impassive to this and, despite being a tiny team, we assume the responsibility that others do not consider. That's why we want to ask a burning question:
If the time has come to do so, how will we do it? How are we going to say goodbye to our planet?
Perhaps we should start by saying goodbye to many of our natural icons.
We want to pay them a tribute.
A collection of icons for a sustainable community, inspired by the expiring icons of nature.
The Consciousness campaign seeks to ask this painful question to our society and invite it to share the real situation of each of them.
Maybe, just maybe, we still have time to heal the wounds we have caused to the planet.
This relaunch will have 4 new colors, representing 4 nature icons that are expiring due to climate change:
That's why we need to reach as much media as possible to support this relaunch and to take our Consciousness campaign a step further. Our goal is to appear in media such as Bloomberg, Fast Company, Monocle, The New York Time, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, etc.
We will need support adapting the press releases to the US market and media, as well as delivering them and following up to get the best results. The goal is to be published in as many media as possible.
