I need a script in Python that will do the following to some video files. I don't care what solutions or external libraries you decide to use as long as they are freely available and work on Linux.
take four command line arguments:
1) a directory containing .flv video files
2) an image file
3) an output directory
4) another image file(.png, for the watermark)
parameter four should be optional
i want the script to work like this::
--take all files found in the directory given in argument one
--for each file replace the first 5 seconds of video with the image in argument #2 ( while maintaining the original audio)
--if argument #4 is given, place the watermark over the video, starting after the 5 second mark
--output all the files to the directory given in #3 using the same filename as the original
all of this should be in one function, so I can easily add it to other projects.
this must work on .flv files downloaded from youtube and run a ubuntu linux machine.
please ask if you need clarification.
