For this project I have three different kinds of text files and they are called: CAL400, RSL350, AND RSL350_90. For each file they are all setup the same way, but have different information in them, and they are in ASCII format.
All I need done to these files is to be able to have a script that changes the "xllcorner" and the "yllcorner" in the header information by another file (called [url removed, login to view]) that has all of the values to input (an xllcorner and yllcorner field), and outputs a new text file. I would like to be able to set the location in the script (a folder), where these new text files will be placed and also the new text files need to have short, but unique names.
I would prefer if this script was in Python because I can kind of work my way around the scripting, also I would like it to try and have a script that is as simple as possible (easy to understand).
It is also important that the rest of th information in these text files stays the same.
An example of one text file header is:
I wil soon be attaching a text file and an excel file that has the data you need to work with to use in the script.
CORRECTION: THE DATA THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EXCEL FILE IS ACTUALLY A TEXT FILE (*.txt) AND IS COMMA DELIMATED.
