To evaluate the quality of the code submissions, we consider three key aspects: code complexity, modularity, and eadability. For each of these aspects, we employ automated tools, external evaluators, and the LLM-based Bot-Grader to assess the submissions. First, the external evaluators, who are highly qualified in the relevant subject, will independently grade the assignments based on the three quality aspects: code complexity, modularity, and readability. Simultaneously, we will use Python libraries (automated tools) to calculate the scores for each of these aspects, providing an objective measure of code quality. Additionally, the LLM-based Bot-Grader has already assigned scores based on the same criteria for the students' submissions. To assess the relative effectiveness of the Bot-Grader and the automated tools, we will calculate the agreement score pairwise for each of the three quality aspects between the Bot-Grader, the automated tool-generated scores, and the external evaluators. For code complexity, the method (either the Bot-Grader or the automated tools) that demonstrates the highest agreement with the external evaluators will be identified as the most reliable for grading this aspect. Similarly, for modularity, we will determine which method has the highest agreement with the external evaluators, and the same approach will be followed for readability.
