Different POST request elapse time

Hi
I send POST request with requests library to login a website. The elapsed time of login POST is around 1 sec. Also, after login, there is a calendar where we can reserve an appointment. In order to book appointment, we have to POST again with a specific token and require a payload. But the problem is that elapsed time now is at least 4 times greater than the login page.
I want to know if it is normal or if something is wrong here?.
Is it possible to do a POST in the reserve page as fast as the login page?
Is there any other libraries could send requests to website faster than Requests library?
