I have some Python program the need to run as stand alone .exe programs on win32 platform. I know about Freeze and Py2exe but I don't have the time to get them to work, this is where you come in.
My programs consists of many individual .py files, but they are launched from a single python file.
I run Python 2.3.4 on Win32
your task is to write a python program "Winfreeze" that :
1) Takes the main python file as input
2) Parses and loads all the related python files using pythons own methods for this
3) Including components from my python installation and extra modules like Andy Dustmans MYSQL interface
4) Generates a single-file .exe program that can be executed on any windows 32-bit platform.
You are welcome to call py2exe or freeze as part of execution. I also have Visual C++ 6.0 and you can call that as well if needed, but I would prefer if "Winfreeze" could run without VC having to be installed.
I expect to be able to run "winfreeze" on "winfreeze.py" :-)
The only problem could be if some of your external libraries are not designed to be easily freezed. This could require non-trivial modifications to them, in which case I'm unsure the project would still fit the budget. Daha Fazla
