Job Description:
I'm looking for a skilled developer to build a Flask software application primarily focused on data visualization. Users will be required to log in to the system and access their data securely. I'm looking for a developer who is well-versed in Python programming, as this is the language of choice for this project. The successful developer will be confident in their skills, experienced in building applications using Flask, and able to deliver results to a high standard. And also add the following to the code that will be provided:
Use try-except block to catch errors: When converting string to datetime format, there may be cases where the input string is not in the expected format, and thus, a ValueError will be raised. To avoid this, you can use a try-except block to catch the error and return an appropriate message.
Use HTTP status codes: Instead of returning a string message, it is recommended to use HTTP status codes to indicate the success or failure of an API call. For example, for a successful POST request, you can return a 201 status code, while for an error, you can return a 400 or 404 status code.
Implement input validation: You can add some input validation to ensure that the input data is valid before adding it to the database. For example, you can check that the room number is not empty, the check-in time is before the departure time, and the employee name is not empty.
Use JWT for authentication: To ensure that only authorized users can access certain API endpoints, you can use JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for authentication.
Use a separate file for configuration: Instead of hardcoding the database URL and other configuration options in the code, it is recommended to use a separate configuration file that can be easily modified without changing the code.
Add more comments: adding more comments can help others understand the code better and make modifications easier in the future.
