Unitree G1 Robot We are looking for a programmer who has experience programming the Unitree G1 android robot. The G1 is programmed using either C++ or python, through the ROS (Robotic operating system). You must have experience working with ROS and programming robots, or programming a Unitree robot, or programming the G1. We are planning to purchase a G1 and would like to hire someone with experience as a consultant to help us get the G1 operating for our needs. We are expecting the G1 to be delivered in 4 to 6 months from now, and therefore we want to be ready to use it almost immediately when it arrives. In order to do this we need to start programming now. So in order to program the G1, we need someone to prepare a document explaining what computer hardware and software we need, how to install the software, and how to make it work with the G1. This way we can start programming now so that when the G1 arrives we just transfer the program to it and it starts to work. We will be using the G1 to move small items from offices to the warehouse. So we need you to write a simple program to show us how to make the G1 go to an office, when called, pick up a small box on the desk in the office, and carry it to the warehouse which is about 30 meters from the office area. The worker in office 1 prepares small items and places them in a small box and then places the small box on the desk in the office 1. Then the worker sends a message to the G1 via wifi or bluetooth, telling the G1 to come and pick up a box from the desk in office 1 and bring the box to table A in the warehouse. So your simple program must do these steps when the G1 gets the signal: 1. The G1 must walk from its current location somewhere in the building, to office 1; 2. When it arrives at office 1, the G1 must identify the desk; 3. Next the G1 must pick up the small box from the desk and hold it between its hands; 4. Now the G1 must walk from office 1 to the warehouse; 5. When the G1 arrives in the warehouse it must identify table A and walk to table A; 6. Next it must place the small box on table A; 7. Now that the G1 has accomplished its task, it must send a message to our management system via wifi or bluetooth telling it that the item has been successfully delivered to the warehouse and placed on table A; This simple program that you will make will allow us to understand how to program the G1. So you will deliver: 1) a document explaining what hardware we need (Windows desktop/laptop, etc), what programming software we need (c++ or python), any modules or dependencies, and anything else that may be needed. 2) your program, as described in the 7 steps above; Next, after the successful delivery of the project, we will negotiate a contract with you to keep you as a consultant, to help us get the G1 working. We want to be able to contact you and get your help when we run in to a problem, or when we need help.
