URGENT: Senior LiveKit & Azure Voice AI Expert Needed (Final Deployment & Bug Fix) Job Title: Final Deployment & Bug Fix: LiveKit Voice Agent + Azure OpenAI + Azure Speech (Python) Project Type: Short-Term / Troubleshooting / Launch Support Tech Stack: LiveKit (Python SDK), Azure OpenAI (gpt-5-mini), Azure Speech Services (STT/TTS), FastAPI, Supabase. - THE PROJECT OVERVIEW We have built a massive, fully-containerized Enterprise Voice AI & Outbound Dialer system for 500+ manufacturing factories. The system connects via standard SIP trunks, routes calls using FastAPI & Supabase, and runs isolated LiveKit workers for both Inbound Reception and Outbound Sales. The architecture is fully built, cleanly written, and 100% dockerized. We recently migrated our LLM/Speech stack from Gemini/Sarvam to Microsoft Azure (Azure STT + Azure OpenAI + Azure TTS) to achieve sub-700ms latency and eliminate JSON serialization errors. The issue: The SIP calls are connecting perfectly to the LiveKit cloud/self-hosted server, but there is dead silence. We are hitting specific Azure configuration/integration errors on the backend. If you are a LiveKit expert, this is a very fast, straightforward task. The code logic is sound; we just need an expert to fix the plumbing and get the agents talking. - THE CURRENT INBOUND ERRORS (Why it's silent) You will be fixing these specific errors inside our [login to view URL] worker: Error 1: Azure OpenAI Configuration (404) APIStatusError: Error code: 404 - {'error': {'type': 'invalid_request_error', 'code': 'DeploymentNotFound', 'message': 'The requested deployment name does not exist...'}} (Likely a simple mismatch in our .env variables regarding the Azure OpenAI Deployment Name vs. Model Name). Error 2: Azure TTS Configuration (400) failed to synthesize speech: message='Bad Request', status_code=400, retryable=False (Likely an issue with the region formatting, parameter mapping, or the specific Indian Neural Voice (en-IN-NeerjaNeural) eligibility in our Azure Speech resource). Error 3: LiveKit Pass-Through Drop dropping pass-through signal — no stream available (A direct consequence of the LLM/TTS failing to generate an audio stream). - YOUR EXACT DELIVERABLES 1. Fix the Inbound Agent & Tune Latency: Debug the Azure API connections in livekit_agent.py. Ensure Azure STT, Azure OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini), and Azure TTS (en-IN-NeerjaNeural) stream perfectly together. Tune the Silero VAD (Voice Activity Detection) parameters to achieve our target < 700ms conversational latency. 2. Deploy & Test the Outbound Pipeline: Our outbound architecture is fully written but untested. You will need to verify the flow: Ensure the Async Pacer ([login to view URL]) successfully fires the CreateSIPParticipantRequest to LiveKit. Ensure the Outbound Worker ([login to view URL]) picks up the room, speaks first when the user answers, holds the conversation, and successfully triggers the log_call_disposition function tool at the end of the call. - WHAT YOU WILL BE GIVEN You will not have to guess how the system works. You will be provided with: The complete, clean Python codebase ([login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL]). The [login to view URL] and Dockerfile. Access to our Azure portal on Anydesk/Zoom screen-share. Access to our LiveKit Cloud / Self-hosted server through Anydesk/zoom screen-share. A SIP phone number to test inbound/outbound dialing directly from your cell phone. - THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You have actively deployed LiveKit Voice Agents to production. You know the livekit-plugins-azure and livekit-plugins-openai packages inside and out. You understand how LiveKit handles SIP trunking ([login to view URL]). You are highly proficient in Python asyncio. No agencies. We are looking for a sharp, solo engineer who can look at these logs, spot the issue, and push the fix today. To Apply: Please start your proposal with the word "NEERJA" so I know you read the errors. Briefly explain what you suspect is causing the 400 Bad Request on Azure TTS or the 404 DeploymentNotFound on Azure OpenAI, and your estimated time to fix this and test the outbound pipeline.

Your three errors point to config, not code: the 404 DeploymentNotFound means your AZURE_OPENAI_DEPLOYMENT env var is passing the model name (gpt-4o-mini) instead of your actual deployment name; the TTS 400 is almost certainly en-IN-NeerjaNeural not being available in your Speech resource's region or a wrong speech_region/endpoint mapping in the LiveKit Azure plugin; the pass-through drop clears itself once TTS streams. Zero-risk offer: I'll fix Error 1 live on a screen-share as a verifiable sample before you fund milestone one — you release payment only after inbound audio works end-to-end. I recently debugged an Azure OpenAI + Azure Speech streaming pipeline with the same deployment-name pitfall. Which region is your Azure Speech resource in — centralindia or eastus? I've put up a demo built for your exact case: a diagnostic page that maps your three errors (404 DeploymentNotFound, TTS 400, pass-through drop) to the exact .env and LiveKit plugin fixes. Copy this link into your browser to view it: [login to view URL] — or open my profile's Portfolio tab for screenshots of past similar projects, viewable right here on Freelancer. (runs on sample data; the production build wires into your real systems with the same logic.) Honest note: we're a new profile on this platform, so we're deliberately pricing at the bottom of your INR range to earn our first five-star reviews. Payment sits in milestone escrow and you release it only after your inbound agent is talking — all the risk is on our side.

NEERJA I have strong experience building Python-based AI voice systems with FastAPI, Azure OpenAI, Azure Speech Services, SIP integrations, and real-time streaming pipelines. Based on the logs, the 404 Azure OpenAI error is most likely caused by using the model name instead of the Azure deployment name, or an endpoint/API version mismatch. The 400 Azure TTS error is typically related to an invalid voice, region mismatch, or incorrect Speech SDK configuration. Once these are corrected, the LiveKit pass-through issue should resolve as the audio stream becomes available. I can quickly debug your LiveKit workers, validate Azure STT, GPT-4o-mini deployment, and en-IN-NeerjaNeural TTS configuration, then optimize the Silero VAD for low-latency conversations. I'll also verify the outbound workflow end-to-end, including SIP participant creation, first-response behavior, conversation flow, and call disposition logging. I can start immediately, work with you over AnyDesk/Zoom, and expect to diagnose the root cause within a few hours, with complete inbound/outbound testing typically finished the same day depending on Azure access.

As an experienced Python developer with a speciality in troubleshooting and deployment, I am confident that I can quickly resolve the issues you're experiencing with LiveKit's integration to Azure Voice AI services, enabling your system to function seamlessly. Over the past 9+ years, I've delved deep into diverse Python projects like yours that involve multiple moving parts. This makes me comfortable handling both your current inbound voice agent issues (related to Azure OpenAI and TTS configuration) as well as effortfully deploying & testing the untested outbound pipeline. I have a strong command over various development tools such as Docker, FastAPI, and Supabase making me nimble with deploying & hosting of applications. Understanding your requirement for quick methodology implementation, my proficiency in asynchronous programming using Python asyncio combined with my experience of having built & deployed LiveKit Voice Agents before aligns correctly with your needs. Moreover, I am not unfamiliar with integration work involving SIP trunking such as yours Lastly, apart from my technical expertise, something that distinguishes me is my commitment to delivering quality work under challenging timelines. Time is of essence in this project and I assure you efficient and accurate debugging and resolution from my end because "NEERJA"

Hi there, NEERJA Your architecture already appears to be in the final stretch. Based on the errors you've shared, the silence is likely cascading from the Azure integration layer rather than the LiveKit pipeline itself. The 404 strongly suggests a deployment name versus model name mismatch or incorrect Azure endpoint configuration, while the Azure TTS 400 typically points to voice, region, or request parameter inconsistencies. Once those services begin streaming correctly, the LiveKit pass-through issue should resolve naturally. The approach would be to validate every Azure configuration, reproduce the issue in the existing Docker environment, restore the complete STT → LLM → TTS streaming path, and then tune the Silero VAD for lower response latency. After inbound calls are stable, the outbound workflow will be verified end-to-end, including SIP participant creation, first-response behavior, conversation flow, and disposition logging. If the objective is to launch immediately, let's review the current logs together and finalize the deployment. Thanks, Akshay

**NEERJA** Hello, I have hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, LiveKit, Azure OpenAI, Azure Speech Services, and real-time voice AI systems. Based on the errors you've shared, the **404 `DeploymentNotFound`** is most likely due to a mismatch between the Azure **deployment name** and **model name**, an incorrect endpoint, or an API version configuration issue. The **400 Azure TTS** error is typically caused by an invalid Speech resource region, unsupported voice configuration (`en-IN-NeerjaNeural`), or incorrect synthesis parameters, which then leads to the LiveKit pass-through stream not being created. I can quickly debug the Azure integrations, restore the full STT → LLM → TTS streaming pipeline, optimize the Silero VAD for sub-700ms latency, and thoroughly test both inbound and outbound call flows, including SIP dialing, agent responses, and `log_call_disposition` execution. I estimate **6–10 hours** to identify the root cause, implement the fixes, and complete end-to-end validation with your team via Zoom or AnyDesk. I'm available to start immediately.

**NEERJA** I’ve carefully reviewed the errors and believe the issues are primarily configuration and integration related rather than application logic. The **404 DeploymentNotFound** typically occurs when the Azure OpenAI **deployment name** configured in the application doesn't exactly match the deployment created in Azure, or the endpoint/API version is incorrect. The **400 Bad Request** for Azure TTS is commonly caused by an incorrect Speech region, voice configuration (e.g., **en-IN-NeerjaNeural**), or invalid request parameters. I have a solid foundation in **Python, Microsoft Azure, Docker, and DevOps**, backed by hands-on coursework and experience debugging backend applications. I’m comfortable working with Python asyncio, containerized deployments, environment configuration, and log analysis. I can systematically trace the Azure integrations, verify LiveKit connectivity, test the inbound/outbound pipeline, and resolve deployment issues. I estimate **4–8 hours** to diagnose, fix, and validate the complete voice flow through end-to-end testing.
