I’m integrating a Raspberry Pi-based camera unit into a agricultural field and need an engineer who can take the hardware and firmware from concept to field-ready prototype. The device must reliably handle imaging tasks and do send the data to cloud and build web user interface for user to access and visualize and create alert options. Core functionality required: • Image capture and storage • Real-time video streaming • Image analysis and processing And automation On the hardware side you’ll select the appropriate Pi model, camera module, optics, lighting, power regulation, and protective enclosure, then produce a schematic and simple PCB (KiCad or Altium preferred) that ties everything together. For software, I expect well-structured code—Python or C++—leveraging libraries such as Picamera2, OpenCV, and GStreamer, with documented APIs so my control system can trigger captures, receive processed data, and pull live streams over the network. Acceptance criteria: • Stable image acquisition at the specified resolution and frame rate for at least 48 hours of continuous operation. • Latency under 300 ms for the live video feed on a local network. • On-device analytics returning inference results in JSON under one second per frame for a supplied sample model. • Complete build files: annotated schematics, BOM, PCB Gerbers, enclosure CAD, and fully commented source code in a Git repository.
