WinterLeaf Entertainment ([url removed, login to view]) is an unfunded but growing indie game studio creating a fantasy MMO game.
We are seeking a freelance modeller to work with us on a number of mob/beast models for our base game.
We have a huge amount of modelling to outsource to assist out in house artists. The first of these is a low poly Wolf Set to be a general game mob. This should be similar to these found here [url removed, login to view] and the concept reference we like is this [url removed, login to view]
The poly count should be approx 1,200 quads max. It should be constructed for good join animation. There is no need in the model for animation of the mouth and therefore it should be modelled part open as the above images show.
A set of Diffuse textures are required for the following (please see [url removed, login to view])
North American Grey Wolf style
Eastern Timber Wolf/Dire Wolf
A white wolf like the Baffin Island Wolf
The Diffuse texture should be of similar quality to that in the above image and while not be photo-realistic it should be exceptionally close. It should be provided in psd source file as well as a PNG format. IT should be provided in layers in the PSD format so the texture of the coat can be altered at a later stage without affecting other elements such as eyes and mouth/teeth
The model should be provided in obj file or preferably Max 2012.
Texture size is 2048x2048 but will be reduced to 1024 x 1024 in game. UV mapping should make the most of the UIV Space available and not use mirrored UVs.
Normal Maps are required. There is no need for these to be created from a high poly sculpt. These are to be used as a mob in the game and therefore a normal map that is derived from the diffuse through XNormal etc is adequate. This should be derived from the diffuse and not simply be a diffuse based normal map.
Accurate specular maps should be provided
Depending upon price and quality there may also be a further commission to rig and animate the model.
