We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented 3D Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating optimized 3D assets using PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials and textures, with a strong understanding of file naming conventions, texture optimization, and polygon reduction. This role is crucial for developing high-quality models for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2024. Responsibilities: Design and model 3D assets with attention to detail and optimization for MSFS environments. Apply PBR textures (Albedo, Normal Maps, COMP Maps, Emissive Maps) in adherence to file naming conventions. Optimize models by reducing polygon/tri counts while maintaining visual quality. Create and implement Levels of Detail (LODs) for performance optimization. Utilize tools such as Blender, Adobe Substance Painter, and Photoshop/Illustrator for asset creation and texture application. Ensure all texture files are square and meet MSFS sizing requirements (e.g., 512x512, 1024x1024). Create signage objects from reference photos, ensuring clarity and optimized performance. Follow established workflows for exporting assets from Blender and organizing files for upload. Requirements: Proficiency in Blender (v3.6 or higher) and Adobe Substance Painter. Strong understanding of PBR textures and material creation. Experience in polygon reduction and model optimization. Familiarity with MSFS SDK and its specific requirements. Ability to create and optimize LODs for different viewing distances. Knowledge of texture baking and UV mapping. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in creating assets for MSFS or similar simulation platforms. Familiarity with ClickUp or similar task management tools.
