I need a Unity Developer to get me started on a new project. I can't divulge more about the project because of a NDA. In short, I need a virtual world similar to google earth (only the continent need to be similar). On this virtual world, landscape will be added depending on input from a database, minimum will be a patch of grass, maximum will be a full forest, or mountain. The world has 2 level (above sea level, and underground) There is no leaving human of animal on this world, just a landscape who is adjustable based on parameter that I supply. So for example around USA we could have only grass but in India loaded with forest and mountain because of some activity that I supply through a database. Being a virtual world of course I need to be able to navigate through it (zoom in or out, flying mode, ect...) The solution will need to work on a web browser, IOS, Android and windows phone. Don't worry about texture, and final modeling yet, first I need a proof of concept that this can work. Of course all source code will have to shared and explain in order for me to integrate it to my program. Only programmer who can demonstrate past project similar will be pre-selected. I have read the requirements of the solution you require and I believe I have worked on something in the past that will meet your needs. I may be able to unearth this project to show you but it was quite some time ago so i will explain how I plan to create the program you are looking for. I worked on a system that was made to make voxel style (like Minecraft) terrain using random noise to generate the data, and an algorithm called marching cubes in order to make the terrain smooth instead of blocky. Instead of generating data points it can easily be imported from a database. This system would allow you to have as many levels as you like instead of being limited to 2 levels. My credentials: I have worked with Unity3D for 4 years, specializing in programming specifically in mathematical implementations and optimization. I have a moderate amount of experience in technical art in order to be able to integrate art technologies with traditional logic. My personal projects have included multiplayer shooters, campaign style rpg's, and business database programs.
