I've got a set of 12 pdf documents of about 70 pages each which need to be converted into plain text. Some of the earlier documents won't react well to OCR technology or simply converting them into text using software packages, the later documents are easier to handle.
What I need from you is to simply copy the contents of the documents into a text format of your choosing (i.e., txt, rtf, doc, etc. – do consult with me beforehand) so that the text is ready for further analysis on my end. At some point this may require typing by hand, mostly the work will consist of copy-pasting the lines and making sure the word-breaks are removed an no foreign characters are inserted. Automating the job using software packages is obviously fine as well as long as the end result is a structured document clear of word-breaks and foreign characters.
