Market Research: On-line sources for business/economic/social science/technology research
Goal: Identify and characterize any web-sites/on-line resources at which research reports (e.g. from think-tanks, business, industry, social science, technology research institutes, etc.) can be purchased, especially those that aggregate research from multiple sources.
Specifically, for any services that offer research from multiple sources, we'd like to know:
1)What types of research do they offer (e.g. business, specific industries, social sciences research, etc.) and categories/sub-categories (e.g. finance: M&A, finance: corporate finance, technology: information security)
2)What specific sources of research do they pull from (e.g. specific industry groups, think-tanks, consulting firms, academia, etc.)
3)Do the target a specific market or clientele? (e.g. consulting firms, research analysts, etc.)?
4)Pay vs. free? And if pay, what is the pricing model (e.g. subscription, 'a-la-carte', etc.)?
Deliverable: report detailing the important statistics for each resources/site, including but not limited to the bullet items above.
This is a somewhat difficult to define project, so once we choose a provider we will discuss in more detail what we're looking for.
