Our concept is a one-way aid drone that will weigh 80-100kg travel to selected GPS coordinates 80-120 km. The landed drone will provide a local Wi-Fi network with a with sat phone capability. The UAV will fly at about 1000m in height and land by parachute. (possibly through an emergency flight corridor )
The system is designed to last a few months powered by a 25 kg lithium battery which is charged up through an integrated PV system
The communication hub is designed to be used by the public, with a straightforward user interface
It is currently conceptualised as not having sensors or cameras to detect obstacles and the lights; commination beacon and other required aircraft attributes are unknown. And will need specifying
The drone will be either sent into the desert and landed in villages or towns or the aftermath of an earthquake.
It is imagined that the drones will be stored in a shipping container for between weeks and years before deployment,
