The concept of precision farming includes site-specific or prescription management where the large plantation is divided into smaller land unit with data on yield, terrain or diseases which should be differentially managed via automation and robotics (Norzahari et al. 20). Data on yield and diseases can only be obtained by sensors. One of the more preferred sensors is hyperspectral sensor which covers a wide range of spectrum, thus allowing measurement of many data including chlorophyll level, disease, soil nutrient, etc. This sensors are heavy and it is more accurate to scan a closer range, thus it is possible to mount these sensors on unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). Besides, UGV which can carry more weight can also spray fertiliser or pesticide on specific locations where the data suggest lack of nutrient, or disease infection.
