MUST BE LOCAL TO HONOLULU HAWAII
I need some information from the the Hawaii State Library, that is available in the Honolulu Advertiser archives, between January and May 1968 for a book I'm working on. Apparently it's not available remotely, so I'm looking for someone in Honolulu who would be comfortable in going to the library to find for this information. I believe most of it will be found in the paper's archives. There is one piece of information that is absolutely critical and some a couple of others that would be a plus.
The research librarian I contacted by phone suggested that if I were in Hawaii "visiting the reference staff in the Hamilton Library's Hawaiian and Pacific Collection" would be the best approach. I think the search should be relatively straight forward, especially with a librarian's help, and I can supply all the specific information you will need. I've guessed that it would be about about a two hour task because I think it should be relatively simple for about $100 but I'm willing to reconsider payment if it turns out to be more difficult than I believe.
