Hello! I’ve set up Isaac Gym, Isaac Sim, and Isaac Lab for multiple robotics RL pipelines, including projects where I trained custom manipulators and quadrupeds using PPO and SAC with domain randomization. One recent project involved deploying Isaac Lab for a 6-DOF arm; the challenge was mismatched articulation definitions between an open-source URDF and Isaac’s articulation API. I solved it by converting the URDF with corrected joint limits, rebuilding the PhysX articulation tree, and validating collisions in the simulator. In another job, I trained a mobile robot using Isaac Gym’s vectorized environments; the main issue was unstable training due to poor reward shaping and unnormalized observations. I fixed this by implementing a curriculum, stabilizing rewards, and optimizing the training loop for GPU throughput. I can install Isaac Lab on your system, configure in-built and custom robots, build training environments, and run RL experiments with clean, reproducible scripts.
