Ruby on Rails experts need only apply! Please don’t just PM me. Make sure your response and portfolio includes URLs of Ruby on Rail sites that actually work. Looking forward to working with you… I promise this project is exciting, long term, will be for great entrepreneurial experience.
I run a wiki travel guide to help people explore and appreciate the beauty of our sacred planet. A wiki is useful for building an encyclopaedia travel guide but it’s not engaging enough for the general public. So, I intend to ‘reframe’ the site so that it engages people directly.
You’ll be aware of websites like [url removed, login to view] and Yahoo Trip Planner. These are websites which exhibit the traits of Web 2.0. They mesh services from other sites and offer an experience that focuses on a particular function. The key to the website that I am intending on building is user adoption. It is through the user adoption lifecycle that the public will innovate new uses of the site. I’ll explain more about the core function with the winning bidder but for now I’m best keeping it simple. So, from a simple perspective, I’d like someone to clone Travelistic.com. IF you can do this, then the particular function I’m looking for will be easy enough to implement.
You’ll make sure that the website is fully tested before it is delivered. Warning: This project is not just a simple code and go. I’m looking for someone who has a passion for Web2.0 stuff and thinks from the users’ perspective. I will pay in 3 parts; first part on prototype, second part on beta, third and final on completion.
Looking forward to hearing from you…Many thanks for your patience…Best Regards…ScotJam.
