I’m initiating a long-term effort aimed at developing a genuine cure for Type 1 diabetes and need a specialist who can help transform this vision into a scientifically grounded, step-by-step program. At this point nothing is off the table—gene editing (e.g., CRISPR-Cas9), stem-cell–derived beta-cell therapies, immune modulation strategies, device-based solutions, or a hybrid approach—so I’m looking for someone capable of evaluating the entire landscape, identifying the most promising pathway, and designing rigorous experiments around it. What I need first is a comprehensive research plan that clarifies the mechanism you propose to target, outlines the required pre-clinical work, and maps out the pathway toward IND-enabling studies and eventual human trials. Your document should address scientific rationale, key milestones, estimated timelines, regulatory hurdles, and high-level resource requirements. Wherever possible, back recommendations with published data, comparable programs, or preliminary calculations. Acceptance criteria • A written plan (≈20 pages) detailing scientific strategy, experimental workflows, and go/no-go decision points • A phased timeline (concept through first-in-human) with realistic duration estimates • A risk matrix highlighting major scientific, technical, and regulatory obstacles plus mitigation strategies • References to all literature, patents, or datasets used in the analysis If you have direct bench experience in beta-cell reprogramming, immunotolerance induction, or similar translational work, please make that clear when you respond.
