I would like to write a treatment about my life for a potential screenplay. I see my story being a Drama with comedy. There are so many unique things that have happened in my life and I would like to find the right person to help me tell my story.
I was born in the late 70’s and into a dysfunctional family in the San Francisco Bay Area. My mom was an urban city girl who moved to a small ranching town when my Grandfather, the lead detective for the DA in SF wanted to get his 4 teenagers away from the city.
Teenage parents, drug, emotional, physical abuse. Divorce, death, personal struggles. High school drop out. 140 lb weight gain and loss. NYC Modeling contract. Relationships influenced by my upbringing. Some celebrity encounters. A couple kids. Divorce. Hard work. Becoming a top female earner. Another marriage to a man 10 years younger. Success. Happiness. Love. Incurable disease. This is the story of my life.
The lead characters name is Alaina Hunter Palomo- goes by Lane. Drops out of school at 17 and 240 lbs. Needs to leave a very unhealthy life at home with a family she does not relate to. Loses 125 lbs and gets recruited by a modeling agency.
Would be a drama comedy about a young woman growing up with many obstacles, through her self doubt and chaotic life always finding enough courage and what was always perceived as confidence to find her way. Troubled childhood surrounded by instability, drugs, partying, cheating, abuse between teen parents, grandmother raising her and passing when she was only 14, moving out and changing her life sometimes with two steps backwards. Many surreal opportunities in modeling, dating a Major League Baseball player and others worth mentioning, a couple marriages, always to the wrong person for the wrong reasons. A couple children, a huge career that started at the entry level to a VP of a Fortune 500 company, marrying a much younger, sexy, kind, wonderful Puerto Rican man from Brooklyn. All to find life. To be successful. Happy. A good mother. To end up facing the scariest challenges yet- a long life. Due to an autoimmune disease, she has to face the harsh reality that all that has been accomplished and learned may only be for a moment in time.
