The following is the best way to describe this project:
a) We have a separate file (#1) currently in .csv and/or .xls format which holds a total of thousands of alternative terms. It is set up so that the original term is in Column A, and then Column B onwards holds anywhere between a few and a couple of dozen alternatives for that specific Row's Column A term.
b) We have separate files (#2) which we will generate on an ongoing basis which can be in .csv, .xls, or even .txt (your choice) with very long lists of terms which have to be substituted from the information provided in file #1 strictly at random.
To give an extremely simplified example consider that if the file #2 which we are going to process at this time is:
and the corresponding alternative terms in file #1 are
orange lime grapefruit lemon mandarin
broccoli cauliflower carrot turnip celery tomato lettuce onion
monkey chimp gorilla orangutan ape
Then, the first time we run file #2 we want to generate a file #3 with
but the second time we run file #2 we want to generate a file #4 with
All purely random.
This project can be executed in any way you deem preferable, as a standalone Windows application or a script, or any other way that provides the required results. The main computer is running Windows 7 64 bit. As this is a fairly involved project, as there are additional complexities therefore considerable extra information will be provided via private messaging and all questions will be answered. Should you find that the job is significantly different than your initial understanding, I will be more than happy to see your bid revised.
