I have a dedicated server with fasthosts in the UK.
They preinstalled it with linux centos 5 and their own custom control panel which I don't like. I tried to install cpanel but failed as the server was not a 'fresh install' but was customized by my host. They refuse to load just the OS onto my server which means I wont be able to install cpanel.
I have full access to my server via SSH (root) and remote control with virtual cdrom, floppy and keyboard etc.
I need to do a network install of linux centos 5 (preferred but not essential - anything that goes with cpanel really) but cant do it myself as don't have the correct skills or knowledge. I have found some guides on the net and to be honest it looks quite easy if you know how but it reads like Greek to me.
I must have this done asap so I can get cpanel installed, my host wont install JUST the OS so I must do it myself.
I can give root access (SSH), and upload the files via the remote control.
I would prefer someone with proven experience and some feedback.
