This project is for the setup of a basic retail shopping site with the following features: Must have: Template-driven look and feel Presentation of catalog with standard categories and subcategories Robust catalog and order admin interface Sales at two pricing levels. Retail prices available to non-paying members. Discount prices restricted to paid members only Memberships charged at a fixed rate each month through a common payment gateway as that used for checkout. Automated user email communication Nice to have: Member comment and voting on product choices Automated catalog uploading Admin blogging Template design based on existing logo We had considered building the site based on VirtueMart and Joomla! and are looking for a recommendation regarding hosting, shopping card, member management and SEO optimization software. Will consider a non-Joomla! solution, also, provided that it offers flexible administration.
