The task is to build/Modify a Web Part that can handle Computer Serivce Request. The Sharepoint template framework is based on Microsoft Sharepoint Template 3.0 - Help Desk. The Help Desk application template helps technician manage the process of handling service requests. technician members use the application template to identify a service request, manage identification of the root cause, and track solution status. There should also be contact management built in so technicians and managers can look up returning customers and customer history. The application template provides role-based dashboards displaying information relevant to customer. Managers and technicians can view the performance history,etc.
Microsoft have a Help Desk template but some features doesn't really what I want (need modify or permission re-assign)
There are 3 lists:
1. Customer(can add/modify/view service request, when login, the customer information will add into the service request automatically - view knowledge base / view support FAQ)
2. The Mamanger/admin (add/modify/view do excetly what the Microsoft's Help Desk features provided, assign the unowned Service Requests to technician,etc. )
3. The Technician (view service request owned by technician and can add service detail on the service request. Should have a Calendar to schedule the service. Add/modify/view knowledge and support FAQ)
4. Calendar should link back to technician's exchange calendar.
You should also pack the project as a ready to go .WSP file. Supplying all relevant installation procedures and
