Student Record Management system for training company which expertise in Transport, Logistic, Construction and licensing.
Current system is an MS Access database with an MS SQL 2010 backend, with website (drupal) hosted externally. Current system has a separate booking and customer tables within one database. Looking to migrate MS Access database to Sharepoint 2010 system with data stored in SQL server. Goal is to create a system revolving around a customer record which then can have a booking, training course record or contact history linked to it.
Features to be added: Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, online booking / enrollment system for both internal and external customers, area where staff can update data and attached training records (such as video, word files, audio, scanned pdf or image files), full tracking of training contact and results, workflow oriented, tracking of course attendances, calendar control of trainer / course schedules, SMS / email notification of course enrollment.
Key component is for customers enrolling into course is for them to scan proof of identity and previous training records to support enrollment and sign the enrollment process to verify authenticity / proof of purchase.
Objective: Our aim is to reduce the amount of double entry of information for our staff but be able to track a customer contact from the time initial enquiry to the completion of training.
Large project but looking for a good result in a quick turnaround time to help reduce current business pressures.
