I am looking for Arduino specialist that can find solution for a small problem we have run into.
Here is a scenario to keep in mind, We have a Gate with sensor -> Person will pass through the gate, Time Starts -> Person will run for 10-20 seconds completing a challenge and return back through the gate with sensor -> Time stop.
But what we get instead right now, is Start / Stop so fast that he doesn´t have time to move his second leg through :)
Here is a video

On the video you can see that we have Arduino + Sensor + Screen that displays Time.
On the video i show an example if someone would walk trough the gate with the sensor, time would Start on the first leg (finger on my example) and then it Stops when the second leg (finger on my example) past through . What we need is to keep time running after it starts and not stop the time next 3 seconds , thats approximately time needed for the second leg to past through.
Just to make sure that you have read description and viewed video above, please leave a comment with word apple tree.
Best regards, Dimitri.
Hi! I can help you. I`ve worked with arduino and what you need seems to be very simple ( 2 - 3 hours). If you want my help please let me know. Thanks, G. Claudiu

Dear sir I have more than 7 years experience in digital design using microcontrollers and FPGA's, I am willing to assist you to solve the problem and complete the design
apple tree. Hi, I want to know more details about your project. 1. why didn't you put the sensor higher? 2. I guess you can easily set a dead zone to prevent the clock from stopping
