We are after a basic accounting program for our small construction firm. I have an intermediate knowledge and understanding of Visual Basic so I would love to have it made in that language. The project, I would like in 2 stages:
First Stage: Basic structure of the program. UI and ‘bones’ of all the elements.
Second Stage: I will make all changes I need/can then hand it back over for a final tidy up and any other alterations needed. I would need for both stages, of course, all source code so I can make any changes I need.
This project and what you are bidding on is, obviously, only the ‘First Stage’. We want it custom to suit what were are used to but with much more automation. We currently have Excel templates for the following and would like them converted in to an automated program:
• Basic Cashbook: Monthly, with reconciliation function from bank statements. Running total and carry over for each month.
• Wages: Weekly, basic wages with Superannuation calculation (%), Tax (Manual set), Long service.
• Accounts Rendered function.
• GST & BAS Basic calculations.
• Contractors sheet: This is a data base of all payments made to each contractor in a financial year.
At the moment we have to manually enter everything. Whilst we utilize excel formulas there is still way too much manual entry. We are a small firm and we don’t need the complicated Accounting software that is available on the market and we like the process we do it. I will provide the Excel documents of each of the elements to the program.
A solid grasp of accounting is an absolute must. As we are Australian if you are knowledgeable on all of our specific accounting practices (GST, BAS etc.) it will also be an advantage.
