The requirement is to record IN/OUT time of an employee is, to record start and stop time to work.
The App when initiated/started should connect to GPS or take location from GPRS. The App will then show Start button activated and ‘Stop’ button deactivated. User will push start button to notify that he/she has started working. The record of mobile no, location parameters, mobile date-time, start/stop button to be sent to the server. After Start button is pressed the Stop button should get activated and start button deactivated.
Sending Start/Stop details using Non smart phone. Non-smart phone can send the above record using SMS to a fix number saying start/stop. Wrong or unprocessed SMS request to be alerted to the user.
A Remark Drop down will have preset menu (preset from system tables) such as Office Work, Meeting. If a meeting option is selected then an Edit field should open to optimally select meeting details such as customer name or vendor name etc.
On the server side, the sent records should be saved and also the server time should be added to the record. This will help in case user has no connectivity as the time of pressing Start/Stop button. (that is App stores the data till connectivity is established) The location in such a case should be sent of the time of the data sent.
There should be provision to set up geofences so that the IN/OUT button should get activated in the APP only when person is in that fence and a message should flash stating so. If Geo-fence is not set for the user but has APP as an Input method then a facility to identify where the punch has happened should be given
