Pretty much I need help setting up an entire project (including parts needed etc.). I presume an arduino/raspberry pi + a stepper motor + a coupler would be the best way to go? I would be 3D printing the mounting myself
I would like a program which will turn this knob in the following ways:
Turn to random position from 0 - 100 - needs to go up and down (ie can go from 0 to 60, 60 to 30, 30 to 100, and 100 to 20), but cannot go past (clockwise) 100 or below (anticlockwise) 0.
Change positions randomly every 30s - 2 min - if its possible: change the position of the knob slowly say over 30s.
Stop the motor after a period from 1-2 hours

I work with Arduino since 2010 and have more than 20 years of experience in programming and electronics. My bid includes a code, BOM, schematic and remote support during assemble stage for a reasonable time.
Will use arduino and stepper motor only, Code will be easy to understand and easy to edit in future Will deliver in a day.
I am an engineer with knowledge in arduino programming. I can perform your requirements by programming the arduino to control a stepper motor. With lower limits of the knob at zero and higher at 100.
Explain your project more so that I know what exactly is required. I can provide you code, for Arduino, and separate graphical user interface(.exe). You will need only connecting items together.
