We need a part time technical support person who can respond to tickets logged in our support system (Zendesk) and can troubleshoot and fix the issues sent in from our small customer base.
Our software is written in an older language, (Xbase++) so someone who feels comfortable with old code and isn't afraid of working out small issues is ideal. For anything out of your depth, you can pass on the ticket to our senior tech person for help.
We have a lot of documentation and videos that help out customers learn what they need to do, but often the issues require a little bit of customisation. We can offer training and help you get up to speed, but ultimately need to leave you to your own devices to manage the tickets.
Experience for this job should include: Zendesk, GitHub, Xbase++ (or the ability to learn a new language quickly) and the applicant should have excellent reading and writing skills and customer service ability.
